• Project objective:

This project builds on the achievements of the previous Finland-supported project which successfully formed Women-Led Conflict Prevention Units in 4 marginalized areas.

It aims to further activate the role of women in conflict prevention and conflict early warning signs to make a more entrenched role in their societies. It also infuses a new sustainable approach where women mediators can themselves transform their experience in forming and activating women mediators in other marginalized communities within Palestine.

Overall Objective (impact): The project contributes to Finland’s Development Cooperation objective in Palestine in 2021 – 2024 to support inclusive state-building and strengthening of Palestinian civil society enabling environment and citizen participation, and as such it contributes to FLC program thematic focus on women, peace and security by enabling women to play a more meaningful role in conflict prevention, mediation, and peace building.
