Ramallah-Wattan news agency: Mr.Hani Ismirat the project manager of the project said to wattan “ the project aim is to develop the Palestinian youth capabilities that have interests in media issues, develop media production correspond with Palestinian community needs such as Palestinian national identity issue, human rights, violence, and community conflict".

This came during the 3 days of the work shop which implemented by Ta’awon for conflict resolution and Shagaf in partnership with Deutche Welle Academy,Jana Center in Lebanon, and Al khat in Tunisia funded by EU were targeted Activists and Journalists that interested in media issues. 

 

Ismirat added to Wattan that "the project period lasta for 13 months, illustrating that this second phase of the training focused on peaceful handling of conflicts, and identity issues. A digital neighboring will be released in the next step and a media platform will be launched “Nofeedo” it will collect all the media production and youth voices that calling for change".

"The training developed the trainee’s capabilities in mediation issues in addition trying to change the negative stereo type of conflict, community problems, and to develop a set of concepts which is appropriate with the Palestinian context Ismirat said". 

 

The training addressed conflict transformation issues and enlarging the awareness of youth about the most important conflicts that the Palestinian society suffer from, gaining skills in dealing with conflicts on personal and community level.

 

Hanan Al Malki – participant in the training said to wattan "her participation came to produce and direct the media content to many issues and conflicts. Every participant will highlight on an issue to find the solution for the conflicts in the Palestinian streets".

Dana Al Duredi also a participant said that "the training taught them how to create a media content in conflict and how to use it in the right way".
